Employee Development

Most training is developed specifically for the client, based on needs identified in meetings with human resource or management personnel. These sessions are conducted in-house for the client and have industry specific information included for role-plays. A sample of the types of training includes:

Management Development

This is an extensive course for managers that covers the day to day operations:

  • Job Descriptions- do they describe what you really need?
  • Performance Objectives - how to create
  • Coaching and counseling employees - take the fear or mystery out of dealing with difficult employees
  • Performance Management tools and techniques
  • Assessments to provide managers with objective data for making expensive people decisions

Hiring Practices to Meet EEO Guidelines

A key to successful hiring is consistency in the interview process. You must ask all the right questions, but you must also be sure that you can legally ask them. Then you must evaluate the information to determine if the person fits the position, will be dependable, honest, or even come to work. If you have a turnover ratio of over 5% or want to improve your retention rate, this session is for you!

Diversity and Sexual Harassment

This course speaks to the rights of individuals to be appreciated for what they do at work and the importance of a compatible environment. The laws and effects of discrimination are discussed in a very positive setting. The goal is for each participant to leave the session wanting to be more open and positive toward others. This is a highly interactive session with the focus on human respect.

Presentation Skills For Managers

Managers make dozens of presentations daily. Anytime managers have to provide information to others, they are making a presentation. How does one crystallize information to provide concise information for a five-minute briefing to the CEO? What needs to happen for a presentation to the Board of Directors? How do you plan for a sales conference for 500 people? This course has two parts. The first is for informal presentations and the second one is designed for the more formal presentation that may include video-taping, Q. & A. and feedback.

Leading a Productive Meeting

Meetings too often are unwanted interruptions to productive work. This session shows managers how to decide what is necessary in a meeting, how to make the most of the time, how to keep the flow of information coming, how to engage all in the discussion, and how to end on time.

Email Etiquette

If email is driving you to distraction and if you want to keep your company out of court, think about this timely course. Many people are unsuspectingly sending information through email that is inappropriate and could be used against the company.

Team Building

What does it take to put together a cohesive group of people who will work in harmony? What behavior styles work best together? How can we determine team strengths and tell what elements our team is missing? We'll answer these questions and provide group activities that illustrate how knowing this about team members can enhance team effectiveness. This course can be a short, in-house presentation or a weekend of excitement, fun and inspiration.

Customer Service - Do We Really KNOW What They Want?

Customers are what make businesses stay in business. How do we provide the best for our customers? What about the internal customers whose needs have to be met BEFORE the external, paying customers can be served? This workshop helps companies identify what they are doing well and what needs to be addresses. Participants leave this session with action items and knowledge of how to increase service levels.
